Because their time is short, but the love is endless.
Preserve their legacy in fine art.
Ever wondered what your dog would look like as a work of art?
Beyond their everyday expressions,
what would their portrait reveal?
Their quiet strength.
Their steady presence.
The devotion they offer without being asked.
What would their portrait say,
without a single word?
The Fine Art Companion
Artful portraits of the dogs who shape us
A limited portrait book and exhibition by Olive & Fable
Let’s get started down below!
A New Kind of Portrait Experience for the Greater Seattle Area
Created by Olive & Fable, Downtown Kirkland’s fine art portrait studio, The Fine Art Companion brings a new portrait concept to the Greater Seattle area — one that invites dog lovers to commemorate their companion in an elevated, intentional way.
This project offers the opportunity to honor your dog not as a snapshot, but as a thoughtfully crafted portrait designed to endure.
Through classical lighting, refined styling, and painterly editing, each dog is photographed as a subject of significance. Subtle props, florals, and textures are chosen to complement personality rather than distract from it, allowing presence, expression, and quiet character to lead.
This is not about capturing a moment.
It is about honoring a relationship.
Rooted in Community. Created to Change Lives.
At the heart of The Fine Art Companion is giving back.
A portion of participation fees, along with 100% of the profits from book sales, will be donated to Completely Rescued, a local dog rescue supporting dogs still waiting for their own chance to be seen, chosen, and loved.
By participating, you become part of something larger — a project that honors dogs through art and helps change lives beyond the frame.
Art, when created with intention, has the power to change lives.
How It Works

Just presence, patience, and care.
3. Artwork Selection & Book Feature
Each participating dog will receive a two-page feature in The Fine Art Companion coffee table book as part of the curated collection.

Llamas Family
“We had the absolute joy of working with Olive and Fable Pet Photography at their Kirkland studio, and we truly can’t say enough about how special the entire experience was. Yunet and Elaine somehow managed to photograph all four of our dogs at once with endless patience, joy, kindness, and genuine care, and what truly sets Olive and Fable apart is how personal and heartfelt the process feels. It’s far more than simply taking pictures; it feels like creating a little bit of magic with people who understand how deeply you love your pets. The final photos were absolutely breathtaking and captured the true essence of our little family. The level of care, artistry, and personalization is exceptional and absolutely worth the investment for memories that feel this special.”

“Yunet and Elaine are absolutely amazing! Book with them- you will not regret it! I contacted them a couple of weeks ago to inquire about a photo shoot for my terminally ill kitty. The final versions of our photos are so beautiful they brought tears to my eyes. These wonderful ladies perfectly captured the relationships we have with our kitties and as a family. They have truly allowed us to make new and beautiful memories during a difficult time. I'll be forever grateful for them and can't recommend them enough.”

Zac and Jax
“I highly recommend Olive and Fable Pet Photography! They were amazing to work with from the very beginning. Due to some unfortunate circumstances with my dog, they were able to get me in very quickly to get the shoot done. They have a easy process to follow and are very communicative.
During the shoot, my dog was having a blast, they had lots of treats and even a toy that he got to keep. After the shoot we met on a Zoom call to narrow down the pictures that I wanted edited. That was quickly done as well. The pictures turned out beautiful, I couldn't be happier. If you're looking to get any photos done with your pets, Olive and Fable Pet Photography, is the way to go.”
Fine Art Pet Portraits FAQ -Olive & Fable, Kirkland
How do you wish to remember the love you share? Let’s begin a pressure free conversation, just a chance to dream about what your legacy could look like.
-
Many of the pets I photograph remain on-leash for their entire session, whether in the studio or outdoors. Safety always comes first, and leashes give both you and your pet comfort and security. The best part? With professional editing, leashes are seamlessly removed from your final images, leaving only timeless, natural portraits that reflect your pet’s true spirit.
-
No worries, I've worked with pets of all personalities. I use gentle techniques and plenty of patience to help even the most reserved pets relax. We can take breaks as needed until your pet feels more at ease, ensuring we capture authentic moments without stress.
-
Yes! We highly recommend you take part in the photo session. Absolutely, and we highly encourage it. These portraits are just as much about the bond you share as they are about your pet. Even when people feel hesitant at first, they often realize how deeply they would regret not having images of themselves with their beloved companion.
Phone snapshots rarely capture that connection, they miss the way you look at each other, the quiet gestures, the moments in between. Professional portraits preserve those details beautifully, giving you artwork that tells the full story of your love.
-
For our outdoor sessions we typically photograph in beautiful locations such as local parks, nature trails, or vibrant cityscapes that showcase your pet’s personality. I’ll share a curated list of favorite spots during our planning call, but I’m always happy to collaborate on a location that feels meaningful to you, whether it’s somewhere familiar or a unique setting of your choice.
Our Studio sessions take place in our dedicated fine art photography studio in downtown Kirkland, where every detail is designed to create timeless, painterly portraits.

Every family’s story is unique, and so is every artwork collection. Some clients choose a single framed portrait to honor their companion, while others invest in a full gallery wall or handcrafted album to preserve their story in depth.
Digital collections begin at $740 and printed heirloom artwork begins at $590. On average, most families invest between $1200–$3400, depending on the pieces they select. Because of our à la carte approach, your investment is always flexible and guided by what resonates most with your heart and your home.
-
We do offer digital packages, and every piece of printed heirloom artwork also comes with the matching digital file for sharing and safekeeping. That said, we strongly encourage our clients to experience the difference of printed art.
Digital images live on screens, but printed artwork transforms your pet’s story into something you can hold, display, and treasure every day. Albums, wall art, and fine art prints become heirlooms, lasting reminders of a bond that deserves more than to live in a folder or cloud.
