Pet Portrait Studio

If you’ve found your way here, we already know a few things about you…

  • You often find more comfort in the company of your dog or cat than in the presence of anyone else (we feel the same).

  • You are both courageous and tenderhearted, choosing to love fully, again and again, even knowing that love will one day bring heartbreak.

  • You have an eye for beauty, and you believe that art and aesthetics elevate the stories we hold most dear.

  • You know time is a thief, and you want to stand with those who refuse to let it steal the legacy of the bond you share with your pet.

Welcome.

We are so glad you are here. Let’s begin this journey together.

Time is a thief.

Our companions never stay long enough. Moments slip away, memories blur, and no phone snapshot can ever truly hold the essence of their spirit.

As pet owners, we carry both the joy and the ache of knowing that love is fleeting. But what if there was a way to hold onto it, to keep the story, the spirit, and the love safe from time’s theft and celebrate the life that means so much to us now? What if we could create a tangible memory that will be allowed to take up space in our home (like they do in our hearts) and be passed down to future pet loving generations?”

What sets us apart:

At Olive & Fable, we believe pet owners are among the most courageous people on earth, choosing to love again and again, even with the certainty of heartbreak.

We exist to honor that courage through fine art portraiture and heirloom artwork, museum-grade pieces that preserve your pet’s story in a way that pixels never could.

With over 15 years of fine art photography experience and a deep love for animals, we guide you through a meaningful, intentional process that ensures your companion’s legacy is honored in art as timeless as your love.

What to expect when you book your dream fine art session with us:

The Discovery Call

Our discovery call is the beginning of your portrait experience, a relaxed and welcoming conversation where we take time to learn about your companion’s personality, the little quirks that make them who they are, and the style of your home. This thoughtful exchange allows us to envision how their story can be told through fine art, ensuring that every detail, from the session itself to the artwork we create, feels seamless, collaborative, and true to their essence.

The Fine Art Session

Our fine art sessions are designed to be as memorable as the portraits themselves. Whether we’re creating in the elegance of our downtown Kirkland studio or embracing the beauty of the outdoors, each session flows at your pet’s pace. Lasting about two hours, it’s a relaxed and joyful experience where your companion leads the way, allowing us to capture their true spirit and the legacy they’re meant to leave behind.

The Gallery Reveal

Your gallery reveal is a truly special part of the experience. In the comfort of our downtown Kirkland studio, you’ll be welcomed with a cup of coffee or tea as we unveil the portraits from your session. Together, we’ll thoughtfully review each image and select the heirloom artwork pieces that will not only celebrate your companion’s legacy but also bring beauty and meaning into your home.

"Not the least hard thing to bear when they go from us, these quiet friends, is that they carry away with them so many years of our own lives"

-John Galsworthy

When a portrait becomes printed art, the moments endure. Their story lives on your walls, their spirit rests in your hands, their love becomes part of your home and a daily reminder of the bond you share.

Here are a few of the companions whose legacies we’ve been honored to preserve.

Fine Art Pet Portraits FAQ -Olive & Fable, Kirkland

How do you wish to remember the love you share? Let’s begin a pressure free conversation, just a chance to dream about what your legacy could look like.

  • Many of the pets I photograph remain on-leash for their entire session, whether in the studio or outdoors. Safety always comes first, and leashes give both you and your pet comfort and security. The best part? With professional editing, leashes are seamlessly removed from your final images, leaving only timeless, natural portraits that reflect your pet’s true spirit.

  • No worries, I've worked with pets of all personalities. I use gentle techniques and plenty of patience to help even the most reserved pets relax. We can take breaks as needed until your pet feels more at ease, ensuring we capture authentic moments without stress.

  • Yes! We highly recommend you take part in the photo session. Absolutely, and we highly encourage it. These portraits are just as much about the bond you share as they are about your pet. Even when people feel hesitant at first, they often realize how deeply they would regret not having images of themselves with their beloved companion.

Phone snapshots rarely capture that connection, they miss the way you look at each other, the quiet gestures, the moments in between. Professional portraits preserve those details beautifully, giving you artwork that tells the full story of your love.

  • For our outdoor sessions we typically photograph in beautiful locations such as local parks, nature trails, or vibrant cityscapes that showcase your pet’s personality. I’ll share a curated list of favorite spots during our planning call, but I’m always happy to collaborate on a location that feels meaningful to you, whether it’s somewhere familiar or a unique setting of your choice.

Our Studio sessions take place in our dedicated fine art photography studio in downtown Kirkland, where every detail is designed to create timeless, painterly portraits.

  • Every family’s story is unique, and so is every artwork collection. Some clients choose a single framed portrait to honor their companion, while others invest in a full gallery wall or handcrafted album to preserve their story in depth.

Digital collections begin at $740 and printed heirloom artwork begins at $590. On average, most families invest between $1200–$3400, depending on the pieces they select. Because of our Γ  la carte approach, your investment is always flexible and guided by what resonates most with your heart and your home.

  • We do offer digital packages, and every piece of printed heirloom artwork also comes with the matching digital file for sharing and safekeeping. That said, we strongly encourage our clients to experience the difference of printed art.

Digital images live on screens, but printed artwork transforms your pet’s story into something you can hold, display, and treasure every day. Albums, wall art, and fine art prints become heirlooms, lasting reminders of a bond that deserves more than to live in a folder or cloud.

  • Booking is easy. Click the button below to start the process. Once I receive your information you will receive a calendar link to schedule your pressure free discovery call where we can chat about your vision and what you are hoping to get out of a photography session. Once we’ve confirmed your session, I’ll walk you through all the details and next steps.

ABOUT OLIVE & FABLE

Olive & Fable was born from the belief that pets shape our lives in extraordinary ways. I’m Yunet, a fine art photographer, lifelong animal lover, and proud dog mom. After more than a decade in healthcare, I returned to my creative roots to tell the stories that matter most.

The bravest people I know are those who choose to love an animal fully, even knowing their hearts will one day break. At Olive & Fable, it is my honor to preserve that love in art designed to last.

A fine art heirloom portrait is an act of defiance, a promise that your love will outlast the fleeting.

Your pet’s story deserves more than memory. It deserves permanence, beauty, and legacy.
