The Fine Art Feline

A Coffee Table Book Honoring the Artful Cats of the Pacific Northwest while fundraising for local cats in need

Cats have never been meant to blend in.

They move through the world with quiet authority, with elegance, with a presence that feels both untouchable and deeply familiar. They are soft and sharp, independent and devoted, often misunderstood and rarely given the space to be seen as they truly are.

This project exists to change that.

The Fine Art Feline is a curated coffee table book celebrating the cats of the Pacific Northwest as they deserve to be seen: as muses, royalty and art. Just like you see them!

Only 25 spots will be available in this edition

What This Project Is:

This is not a typical pet photography project.

The Fine Art Feline is a fine art book created to honor the beauty, individuality, and quiet power of cats. Each selected participant will be photographed in a way that elevates their presence into timeless artwork, designed not just to be seen, but to be felt.

These are not just portraits.

They are studies of expression, of movement, of gaze of the way your cat exists in the world.

The Investment & Impact:

To participate in the Fine Art Feline project, there is a $150 registration fee.

Because we believe in extending the impact of this project beyond the page, 50% of your registration fee and 100% of all book sale proceeds are donated directly to Seattle Area Feline Rescue, funding care for local cats still waiting for their forever homes.

Note: Most families choose to upgrade to a full session and invest between $750 - $2500 on artwork and digital collections.

The Fine Art Feline Experience

An Unrushed, Intentional Experience

Planning Conversation

We begin with a thoughtful, story-focused consultation where we learn about your cat’s personality, history, and daily rhythms. We talk through what makes them them, from quirks and comforts to mobility needs and pacing. This ensures a session that feels calm and true to the life you share.

Fine Art Portrait Session

Each session is guided and unrushed, with cats photographed at their own pace in our downtown Kirkland studio. We prioritize comfort, dignity, and presence over poses. Sessions are carefully lit to create painterly, fine art portraits while showcasing each cat’s individuality.

Reveal & Story Review

You’ll be invited to a private reveal appointment to view your portraits and review the written story that will accompany your images in the book. During this appointment, you will have the opportunity to select any heirloom artwork or digital images you would like to your home.

From Book to Walls:

Select custom artwork from your session to make an impact beyond the book

The Book:

The Book: The Fine Art Feline will be a professionally printed, large-format fine art photography book designed as a display-worthy heirloom. Each participating cat will be featured in a two-page spread pairing portrait and story. Participants may pre-purchase one copy of the book at printing cost. One cat will be thoughtfully selected as the cover model once all sessions are complete.

The Artwork:

Most participants choose to invest beyond the $150 registration fee by selecting fine art prints, portrait boxes, framed artwork, or digital collections during their reveal. Most families invest between $750 and $2,200 in artwork, choosing from museum-quality pieces that become a lasting part of their family story. We guide you through each step so it never feels overwhelming.

Who This Project Is For

We are looking for cats whose presence tells a story.

They may be bold or reserved, playful or contemplative, young or wise. What matters most is not perfection, but presence.

If your cat feels like more than a pet and if they feel like a character, a companion, a quiet force in your life, this project may be for you

This is not a mini session or a giveaway. the Fine Art Feline is a fine art experience centered on legacy, presence, and storytelling - an opportunity to create printed artwork that will be treasured in homes and gathering places throughout our community. It is a fundraiser to help connect the artful cats of the PNW already in loving forever homes and those still looking for theirs.
