2026 Puget Sound Goat Rescue Calendar: A Collaboration of Heart and Purpose
When we first stepped into the barn at Puget Sound Goat Rescue, the air was filled with a quiet mix of curiosity and calm. Goats peeked around corners, some eager to greet us, others a little shy but radiating the same undeniable warmth that comes from feeling safe and loved.
We were there for one purpose: to tell their stories through art.
Over the course of a day, we photographed more than a dozen of the rescue’s residents: survivors, mothers, companions, and symbols of resilience. Each goat carried a story that reached far beyond the frame, stories of neglect turned into nurture, fear replaced with trust, and hardship transformed into a life filled with care and connection.
As a Kirkland pet photographer and Washington photographer, our mission at Olive & Fable has always been to capture the deep bond between animals and the people who love them. This project was a chance to do that on a larger scale, honoring the stories of these animals while supporting a cause that changes lives every single day.

The rescue is completely donation-funded and run by volunteers who give their time, hearts, and hands to ensure every animal receives the life they deserve.
To honor that dedication, we created portraits that capture the strength, grace, and individual spirit of each goat. From Maleficent, whose quiet confidence commands a room, to Gracie, who graces the month of May in full bloom wearing a floral neckpiece designed to reflect her gentle power and renewal, every image tells a story of hope and survival.
